During Scholastic Journalism Week, The Muse staff attended a proofing stay-after for their upcoming third issue on Feb. 21 after school. The staff edited proofs — large, printed versions of the pages. This process allowed everyone to provide feedback on designs, photos, and stories before sending the issue off to print.

Sofia Hennessey-Correa is a second-year staffer and photo editor on The Muse. Outside of journalism, you may find her humming songs to herself, practicing speeches to the wall, volunteering, or spending time with friends and family. Sofia is active in multiple clubs including the Speech and Debate Team, Little Smiles, and Spanish Honor Society. Her hope is to shed light on the stories most important to the Dreyfoos community while capturing memories and visually showing new perspectives.

With her legs extended for a grand jeté, dance senior Lindsey Ryerson performs her solo, “Life,” during the annual Dance Senior Solo Showcase. The Senior Solo Showcase on Sept. 23 allowed students to include the skills they have learned during their time at Dreyfoos. “Being in the black box was definitely different because during the performance, since the black box is so small, I was able to see every single person,” Ryerson said. “I was excited and a little bit nervous because I didn’t want to mess up on stage.”
