The senior class council and the Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) hosted their annual Decisions & Donuts event May 1 where seniors celebrated their college commitments with donuts in the cafeteria before the morning bell rang. Seniors wore merchandise from their future colleges and hung up colored-in pennants on a poster on the wall.
With this being one of the last events for the class of ‘26 before senior week, seniors reflected not only on this event, but also on the end of the year and graduation.

“It feels really weird,” Florida Atlantic University commit and visual senior Corina Paolini said. “I don’t feel the way I thought (I) would about it (Decisions and Donuts). I thought I was going to be ready, but then I see that everyone’s leaving, and it’s kind of strange because I was around these people for the last four years. I just can’t help but think this is almost over, and it’s making me emotional.”
Beyond just receiving a sweet treat in the morning, students connected with their peers before they went their separate ways.
“I think it’s nice to see everyone in their college gear and excited for the next chapter of their lives,” University of Florida commit and vocal senior Crisa Colmenares said. “These are people I’ve known for seven years for the most part, so it’s really nice to see where everyone is going to end up going, especially your friends who you’ve seen work hard throughout (high school).”
