The National Honor Society (NHS) participated in the United Way of Palm Beach County’s “Literacy Kit” volunteer project. According to the NHS website, “These kits promote a love of reading in children and will be shared with local children served by United Way funded agencies.”
Each kit consisted of a children’s book and a combination of activities to make reading interactive for children. NHS made 150 literacy kits to donate to the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County.
