Man Versus Machine: The Answer
In Issue 4 of The Muse, the article “Man Versus Machine” was authored both by Gavin Leser and Chat-GPT.
The argument on the leftmost side of the page, titled “Guns should be illegal,” was written by ChatGPT’s version “GPT-4”, while Muse writer Gavin wrote the section titled, “Guns shouldn’t be illegal.”
In order to generate this response, The Muse provided ChatGPT with the following prompt: “Write a 300 word essay about why guns should be illegal, informal, sound human, and incorporate this information: ‘In a casual survey conducted by The Muse, 59% of students said they were anti-gun rights.”
