Jazz includes breaks in the music where certain musicians can perform spontaneous unprepared solos. The concert, held on Oct. 6, split the jazz band into three different skill levels, each of which got a chance to perform.

On Feb. 5, 25 competitors from the Speech and Debate Team competed at the Florida Forensic League (FFL) State Qualifiers at American Heritage High School. 

“I’m really excited,” communications sophomore Emily Singer said. “Especially since events are back in person, I’m so happy to be experiencing the tournament aspect of speech and debate.”

19 students are moving on to compete at the FFL State tournament at Apopka High School on March 5 and 6. The students that qualified for states will be competing against the other students that qualified in their respective regions across Florida. 

Listed below are the students that will be representing the school in the upcoming state tournament:
