First day of school welcomes students and prompts graduation awareness for seniors

Today  marked the beginning of a journey with the Dreyfoos community for many students like strings senior Moriah Adams who was pleasantly surprised with the unique and creative atmosphere of the school.

“It seems like the students have figured out who they are and are willing to accept each other for that reason,” Adams said. “More so than any other school I have attended, I was welcomed and treated very kindly.”

The campus was revitalized with staff and students arriving from accross the county. Students received their schedules during their first period and were prompted to have teachers verify course enrollment by initialing on their schedules. Administration later announced schedule changes and corrections are available to those students with conflicting or incorrect schedules. The blue forms can be found in student services and must be submitted by the end of the week, with priority being given to any seniors with graduation credit issues.

Beginning on Tuesday Aug. 19 students should follow and even-odd schedule, with textbook distributions happening for all classes from Wednesday through Friday. Note, students with any pending obligations will be denied privileges until these are resolved.
