Soul Cycle Mania

Soul+Cycle+Mania
Erica Maltz

So, something very exciting has happened. Soul Cycle, a 45 minute cycling class “combining inspirational coaching with high energy music, creating a workout that benefits the mind and body,” has opened a studio in South Florida. Granted it’s in Miami. But regardless, it’s a workout experience of a lifetime and worth making the trip at least once to experience. Inside a four-walled studio covered with positive words, you are surrounded by dimmed lights, candles and positive energy. The entire class moves together as one to come out rejuvenated and confident.

Soul Cycle has now become the leading workout studio nationally, collaborating with Lululemon and Nike for branding, as well as juice companies like Jugo Fresh in every major city, such as LA, NYC, Boston, D.C. I was able to make my way to the new studio in Coral Gables and take a ride with Soul Cycle. It was exhilarating. The combination of exciting music, the energy from the instructor and the pace of the class was all just so amazing. I came out 45 minutes later feeling like I had just climbed a mountain. The $20 overpriced class had actually been worth it. And I got a cool pair of pants out of my trip.

After any workout you need to replenish. For me that met sitting down to a nice strong coffee from Seed, the new specialty coffee shop on Palmetto in East Boca.  I do say myself, as a serious coffee connoisseur, their Cup of Joe is pretty delectable. Not to mention, they create a pretty design out of foamed milk for each cup. I recommend the green tea matcha latte or a cortado if you need some spunk and a fruity pebbles biscotti on the side (to dip in of course).
