Guerrier was later named player of the game, as he made two free throws, spent 40 minutes in the game, and had a final point total of 13. The Jaguars beat the Gladiators 52-40 at the Nov. 30 game.

New Dean of Student Services Ronald Lewis patrols the student parking lot as one of his duties, with the roof of his golf cart as his sole protection from the blazing sun. He drove up to students heading for the parking lot to ask them for a pass and where they were headed. “I dont think theres anything entirely new about what Im doing,” Mr. Lewis said. ”The various roles that I have, I think, were dispersed among different people.”

Hickman spent his time during the early episodes of SYTYCD at the ‘Academy’. “I was always inspired by students and people saying they were inspired by me,” Hickman said. “That inspired me to push more, and grow more, and reach more people through my dancing, which is a huge part of why I’m on the show. ”

New Assistant Principal Teneisha Finney interacts with students in the cafeteria during her supervising shift. “I worked at Atlantic [High School] for 13 years, and it was different because they didnt have arts programs that they taught at the school specifically,” Mrs. Finney said. “Its a very different environment. I loved Atlantic and I love it here and Im just excited to be here.” Mrs. Finney enforced school rules and got to know the student body in her first few weeks as a staff member.

Drummer Walker MacMillan enjoys his time on stage, enthusiastically playing at his drum kit. “What made me want to be in a band was the need to share and experience the feeling of music with other people, not just myself,” MacMillan said. “This not only provides me with different musical perspectives, but helps bring together concepts I couldnt produce on my own.” Student band, Nite Box, received the opportunity to share their music through performing at SunFest.
