Dancing through the halls of Building 7, theatre seniors Juan Rivera, Carsten Kjaerulff, Jake Chavers, theatre junior Von Markarian, and theatre sophomore George Bostic performed to “Live While We’re Young” by One Direction to kick off the 2023 Lip Dub.

This year’s Lip Dub, organized by Lip Dub coordinator, SGA materials manager, and communications senior Alexandra Critchett, was filled with laughter and booming melodies from recent hits, as well as throwbacks from the past few decades.

The first Lip Dub, taking place in 2019, went viral; it has since been a tradition organized by SGA. This year, Critchett had a crew of SGA and class council members, as well as film students, assisting her in the production of the one-shot video.

“The Lip Dub has been an opportunity to take part in an important tradition and represent my school and our class council,” senior class council co-president and piano senior Claire Zhao said.
