Monday, Sept. 2 12:47 p.m. School closures have been extended through Wednesday in anticipation of Dorian’s impact.

Sunday. Sept. 1 8:00 p.m. The Weather Channel reports that all of eastern Palm Beach County is under a hurricane watch. Counties north of Palm Beach are under a warning. Dorian has slowed down from 7 mph to 5 mph. Sustained winds remain at 185 mph as a Category 5, with gusts topping 200 mph. Right now, Dorian is east of Freeport, Grand Bahama.
