2019 HOROSCOPES

2019+HOROSCOPES
Chloe Girod

Aries (March 21 – April 19): While your spontaneity and drive are some of your best attributes, your impulsive tendencies might leave you unstructured and aimless in your goals. Find your path and stick to it; you don’t need to plan every step of your journey, but a solid outline will help you avoid making hasty decisions. As 2019 begins, your impulse will become ambition and motivation for the year to come. A new adventure awaits you: Be ready to show your boldness and lively personality.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): The December new moon brings a whole new world for you. Be ready for changes and exciting possibilities in your current and future relationships. Opportunities will present themselves, fulfilling your need for love and commitment; however, a sacrifice will need to be made, and if it means giving up your freedom and integrity, it’s not worth it. Be selective with the offers given to you; not all of them are what they seem. In 2019, Venus doesn’t experience any periods of retrograde, giving you a break from love and relationships and allowing you to focus on personal reflection and discovery.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): There’s a lot left for you to learn, and there’s someone out there who’s willing to teach you. Unexpected love will come your way as you broaden your horizons—insight from someone with different experiences and a new perspective will help you keep open-minded and knowledgeable. Your home planet Mercury has three retrograde periods in 2019, spending most of its “retro time” in the water signs. The highly emotional and intuitive water signs will leave you to resort to your gut instincts when you’re confused or unsure, forcing you to step out of your comfort zone.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The end of 2018 might leave you feeling vulnerable and exposed in your emotions, forcing you to keep your thoughts to yourself—2019 is now your year to reconnect with your inner self. A supermoon in January will shine light on your soft spots, forcing you out of your shell. With this comes new relationship possibilities and opportunities; you love to be in love, and 2019 is no exception. Your bonds will strengthen, bringing your relationships closer and giving you time to spend on understanding, expression, and honesty.

Leo (July 23 – Aug. 22): Your energetic and outgoing personality always puts you in center stage, attracting others around you; however, your desire to be loved and admired may come off as egotism and arrogance—share the spotlight once in a while. You’ll start off 2019 with a supermoon and a lunar eclipse in your sign, bringing possible relationship turmoil. The drama will be intense: Expect to experience big changes in your emotional, mental, and personal life. Change doesn’t always have to be negative, as long as you allow yourself to be honest and express your true feelings.

Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22): Your 2019 starts off with a full moon and supermoon in February, leaving you torn between your logical and emotional self. This split may be conflicting, leaving you to battle between contrasting thoughts on what is best for you and how to reach your goals. It is important for you to find your middle ground between your two opposing sides; balance will help you understand and establish where you are now, what you want for the future, and where you should go from here.

Libra (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22): As 2018 ends and 2019 beings, your focus should be on balance: Define the difference between abundance and excess. With the new moon in December, new channels of communication open, allowing you to be frank—but sometimes too blunt. In 2019, your personal relationships go under the spotlight, so strengthen your current bonds and rebuild old ones. Someone from your past may appear again to ask for forgiveness or redemption, be willing to give second chances. Who knows—an old relationship may rekindle.

Scorpio (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21): 2019 is all about goal setting and dreaming big. Follow through with your greatest passions, and you are almost guaranteed success. Mars, your zodiac “co-ruler,” will not be in retrograde this year, giving you an extra boost of drive and energy. In January, Mars will be positioned in Aries, giving you the ambition you need to reach even the most seemingly unachievable goals. However, too much discipline and overworking yourself may leave you to feeling stressed and rigid. Find a way to release; it is important that you keep your mind and body happy and healthy.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): Happy birthday, Sagittarius! On Dec. 7, the new moon will be in Sagittarius, carrying the promise of brighter days to come. Stay hopeful and optimistic as 2018 ends and 2019 begins. There is a lot of potential for success in the coming months.  You can do or be anything you set your mind to; however, make sure you’re not overextending yourself—have a realistic and healthy sense of your own limitations. Focus on passion rather than ambition, and you are more likely to reach your highest potential.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): You don’t mean to bring others down; you’re just trying to be realistic, yet it almost always comes across as pessimistic. Don’t let narrow attitudes keep you from letting your secret inner optimist shine. A new moon in Capricorn and a partial solar eclipse in January 2019 means the opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings. Work on setting goals for yourself and creating your own path—there will be signs everywhere telling you if you’re on the right track. Pay attention to these signs; listen when they tell you to move forward or hold off.

Aquarius (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): Big changes are expected for you in 2019—don’t be afraid of them. It’ll be a time of new ideas, innovation, and a bit of experimentation; however, too many attempts to change your outer self will result in the need for a big change in your inner self. Focus on the aspects of your personality that need a little work; take time to reflect on life lessons you’ve missed out on recently. Getting hung up over past mistakes is likely, but give yourself a break: 2019 will be your time for growth and improvement.

Pisces (Feb. 19 – March 20): Neptune, your ruler planet, is in your sign for all of 2019, putting focus on emotional sensitivity, empathy, and trust. You always put others first, and this year is no exception; however, lack of focus and care for yourself leaves you hiding from all of your problems. Once Neptune enters retrograde, all the harsh realities you’ve spent so much time trying to avoid will resurface, giving you a brutal but necessary truth. At first, the blunt honesty will be upsetting, but it will give you the chance to learn and grow.
