The National Dance Education Organization Conference has accepted the dance department’s submission to its Young Artist Showcase.

Dance dean Heather Lescaille submitted the dance department’s performance of Ailey II Artistic Director Troy Powell’s choreography, Passage. On May 7, Lescaille received a letter from the Florida chapter of the NDEO that praised the performance for showcasing “the caliber of these young artists and the training that they embody.”

The showcase is part of the NDEO’s 21st annual conference, which will be held Oct. 23–26 at the Hyatt Regency Miami. Tickets to attend the conference are available now.
