Anamaria Navarrete, Assistant Managing Editor

Communications senior Anamaria Navarrete is a third-year staffer for The Muse and an assistant managing editor. She enjoys all sorts of music and is very enthusiastic to return to the creative community and family on the publication. Outside of The Muse, Navarrete is President of A.R.T.S. Club and a journalism intern for the School of the Arts Foundation. She looks forward to witnessing the further growth of her journalistic and leadership capabilities and gaining experience through the magazine, as well as helping those around her foster their own capabilities in a positive environment.

The original season of the Netflix original series “Stranger Things”  debuted on July 15,2016. The series featured a supernatural world in which everything is controlled by the beings of the Upside Down. In its return, the show drew a larger audience than before.

 Theatre sophomore Abigail Willer, communications sophomore Kristina Robinette, and communications sophomore Milani Gosman drew inspiration from characters in the Netflix original series “Stranger Things” for Halloween 2016. The trio were widely recognized by the show’s viewers across campus. ”I was obsessed with the show at the time and Eleven’s character really stood out to me,” Robinette said.
