Speech and Debate Students “Sweep” at first local tournament of the season
Giving directions to a driver exiting the campus, Mr. Koronec, the school monitor, surveys the parking lot during the students’ lunch hours. As part of keeping the campus safe, Mr. Koronec makes sure every driver is accounted for. “If I don't recognize you, you're supposed to stop,” Mr. Koronec said. “I ask you who you are, they tell me who they are, then I proceed.”
Feeling the Heat
Performing a lift, dance sophomore Brandon Ross and dance senior Arielle Montpeirous are partnered together for a duet performance. “The most challenging part is putting it all together,” Montpeirous said. “With all the quick changes, it makes it difficult to navigate from piece to piece, but it eventually all comes together.”

Presenting a deliberation over a bill concerning tuition costs for public universities, communications sophomore Grayson Murray responds to examination refuting his argument. “Speakeasy gives us (debate students) a great platform to showcase to our parents how Congress can be light-hearted and how our team is a community,” Murray said.

Visual Classes Extend to the Norton Museum of Art
Listening in, theatre junior Malaika Bourgi-Gordon, who is movement captain as well as an understudy for Moaning Myrtle, works with the cast during a vocal exercise. “This vocal work really helped me think about how I say each syllable…it really does affect how you see words because it’s like, you think of the alphabet in a whole new phonetic way,” Bourgi-Gordon said. For the production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the cast has to learn how to speak with a vocal dialect. “The whole show is completely British,” Bourgi-Gordon said. “So for the people who do not know the rules (of British dialect), this definitely helps us sound a little more competent and makes it sound better for the whole show.”

Interacting with a pre-school learner, Justice Builder intern and digital senior Aaliyah Keys helps lead the day’s craft activity centered around the letter “I.” As part of her paid internship at Rohi’s Readery, which focuses on community outreach and social justice education, Keys prepared pre-made craft pieces for the children to easily assemble an insect.

Located at the back of the beach, the lifeguard tower at Ocean Reef Park oversees visitors both on land and in the water. Lifeguards on this beach work for the Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue division, which is USLA (United States Lifesaving Association) certified. USLA’s website reports that the “chance of drowning while at a beach protected by USLA-affiliated lifeguards is 1 in 18 million.”

We’ve Lost the Plot
Beginning the race, visual junior Max Cannon, alongside other teammates and runners, starts the Jupiter XC Invite #2 hosted by Jupiter Community High School, an almost three-mile course located in Okeeheelee Park. Cannon’s sisters, Maria, a visual sophomore, and visual junior Amelie Cannon, cheer him on from the sidelines. “It’s really nice to have Maria and Amelie giving the support I need to be successful, even in the stands and after, for the celebrations,” Max Cannon said.

"We weren’t clicking as a team for a while…I tried to help by setting the tone in practices, bringing the energy even on the off days and making sure no one felt alone in the struggle.”

Reaching out for his Hogwarts acceptance letter, theatre senior Kevontay Oliver performs as the lead role of Albus Potter, Harry Potter’s son, in the theatre preview night of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” The play focuses on how Albus struggles with being in his father’s shadow and having to fulfill his legacy.

Making their way through the Fall Dance’s ‘Zombie Maze,’ theatre seniors Danielle Yodowitz, Hanna Lichtenthal, and Sher Wiedrich and Wiedrich’s extra guest encounter one of the many scare actors, consisting of Student Government Association (SGA) and student council members positioned across inflatable attractions. Featuring carnival games, obstacle courses and a dance floor to entertain attendees, the fall dance had an array of activities to entertain students and outside guests.

Persson Hall theater. “My favorite part of being in ‘A Chorus Line’ was all the rehearsals and learning all the choreography,” Caputo said. “It was so fun being able to put on this amazing show, with an amazing story, with all of my friends. And I just love doing it so much, especially in theatre performance.”

The donations received for Dona Por Amor include clothes, non-perishable foods, and more. Once the donation window ends, the items will be organized into groups based on the type of donation and packed into boxes. Spanish teacher Lori Brown explained that shipments going into countries with political turmoil, like Venezuela, often get stolen in the process. To combat this, the boxes will be dropped off at a non-profit organization that brings the boxes directly to Venezuela, ensuring the safety of the items.
