Netflix Pick: “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

As Spring Break comes to a close, I find myself putting off the two projects I was assigned to instead feed my Netflix addiction. Seeing as I successfully watched the dozen movies on my to-watch list, a new vice was needed. Enter, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.”

A Netflix original series, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is a comedy series about a woman who was rescued from an apocalyptic cult that kidnapped her 15 years ago. Once out of the underground cult, Kimmy Schmidt attempts to recreate her life in New York City. Written by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, this series follows naïve Kimmy through her adventures of dealing with modern society. With her new roommate, a gay wanna-be Broadway actor, the two become an unlikely duo in both of their struggles to succeed in The Big Apple.

A series in which every single episode title ends with an exclamation mark, it is sure to keep the excitement going through season one. If you have a desire to stay up until the sun rises, watch “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” on Netflix because episode 13 will creep up on you faster than anticipated.
