Theatre junior Ben Rothschild plays the guitar at the concert during lunch, presented by the Shift Club. I liked the fact that all the arts came together. It was really cool to see all the majors dancing and singing along to a bunch of cool bands. Absolutely surreal, Rothschild said. Various bands comprised of Dreyfoos students performed at this event while original art was sold.

Vocal junior Christian Ucelo holds a fetal pig heart during an Anatomy dissection. I would like to study medicine, and having the opportunity to dissect a pig has allowed me to further my knowledge in what I would like to do and have an idea of what I will be doing in medical school, Ucelo said. Classes have spent the week applying what they have learned throughout the year through the dissections.

Dance sophomore Emily Sutterfield signs a decorative banner in solidarity for LGBTQ+ rights. April 15 is the international Day of Silence when students across the world refrain from speaking for 24 hours to raise awareness for the LGBTQ+ community.
Today is whats called the Day of Silence and we decided that, as a school thats all about expression, it would be better to have a day to speak out in solidarity than to be silent, said communications junior Matthew Nadel.
Students gathered in the cafeteria to sign petitions and statements regarding various issues that face the community. These included a pledge to stand up for LGBTQ+ students who are being discriminated against and also expressing interest in having Dreyfoos implement gender-neutral bathrooms.
