Communications senior Michelle Birch takes a selfie with Assistant Principal George Miller. Die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, Mr. Miller had to wear social studies teacher Tom West’s Pittsburgh Steelers jersey as a result of losing a bet. Mr. West offered his students extra credit points to take a photo with Mr. Miller wearing the jersey on Friday Jan. 8.

![[L-R] Communications senior Kayla Kirshenbaum and theatre senior Nick Pollock admire The Bohemian, a magazine created by artist in residence Emmy Kenny and her partner CJ Riehl, in the GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance) meeting at lunch. The magazine had two different lifespans. The first one we started as students to bridge the gap between students and [Kansas] city. After we discovered Riot grrrl (a 1990s feminist punk movement) we reformatted the magazine to focus on social issues like gender and sexuality. Tomas Cabezas, Layout Editor
Communications senior Tomas Cabezas is the Layout Editor of The Muse. This is his third year on the staff. Outside of The Muse, he takes a film class and makes short films, swims competitively, and plays the piano. He is on the Dreyfoos swim team as one of their co-captains and hopes to help it gain more recognition. He practically spends fourteen hours a week in the water, practicing. Cabezas’ future plans are still vague, but he aspires to be a journalist or study something in American History. He loves Dreyfoos and is grateful to have a wonderful high school career.
