Basketball Update

Following a two game win streak, the boys’ basketball team was looking to get another win on Jan. 13 at an away game at David Posnack High. Due to a Band concert rehearsal the Jaguars were short a few players.

After going into halftime, down by more than twenty points, coach Jeffery Stohr made a lineup change. Visual freshman Matthew George got his first start, and helped the team rally back. He scored five consecutive points and forced Posnack to call a timeout.  In the last quarter, David Posnack prevailed and won the game by double digits.

“Although we lost the game, I think its good we played a team of that caliber and got to experience how they play.” George said. “Also the fact that I got to play and score the first points of my high school career makes the loss a little easier.
