Film and T.V. production teacher Ancil Deluz and the foundation office received word this morning that News Channel 5 was interested in doing a segment on Dreyfoos for their show “The List.” Communications senior Haley Lickstein will be featured on Channel 5 for their initial installment of this new Dreyfoos-based piece.

“Mr. Deluz told the foundation office that it was something he thought I would be good to be the face of,” Lickstein said. “We went to the foundation office and began to plan out the segment.” Every week it will be on something recent to showcase the talents of the students at Dreyfoos.

The station will be coming to the school Thursday Jan. 15 to film and Lickstein is excited to be a part of it.

“I am really looking forward to the opportunity and learning more about television production and how news shows work after being a part of our school show the past few years,” Lickstein said.

Michelle Birch, Editor-In-Chief
Communications senior Michelle Birch is a Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Muse. She enjoys writing and loves contributing to the production of the publication as much as possible. She is always interested in helping the staff whenever she can. Along with journalism, Birch finds interest in the film aspect of communications. Birch spends her time out of school either taking drives to the beach, preparing for college applications or kickboxing at her local boxing club. Over the summer Birch had the opportunity to intern at a local publishing firm, which gave her exciting ideas to bring to The Muse. Her dream is to become the Editor-in-Chief of a high profile magazine and plans to make this happen throughout her college career and later years of life. Whether or not her plans change, Birch hopes to be successful wherever she may end up.
